Hackers steal credit card information from the hotel industry more than any other.
That's according to a new study by an information security company, which claims that nearly 40 per cent of attacks were on hotels.
More worryingly, it took an average of 156 days for the hotel to realise that credit card security had been breeched.
Financial service companies, retail stores, and the food and beverage industries were the most targeted after hotels.
In nearly 100 per cent of all data breech investigations, credit card information was the primary target.
Prepaid cards offer more security for users as once the money has been spent you can't run over your limits, making them much less appealing to thieves.
